October News and Halloween Open House

There's been a lot going on around D. M. Gremlin Studios, and here are a few updates.

In behind the scenes news, the landlord for the studio's building has always been really excellent to work with. When I let him know about a couple of maintenance issues earlier this year, he stepped right up.  As of this summer, the building has been re-roofed, and we also have two brand-new air conditioning units.  So this means stronger air in Studio A, and for the first time this winter, we have central heat instead of space heaters in Studio B!

The monthly devMEET and Open House returns this month, with our Halloween event on Oct 19. Halloween brings us so many fun themes and costumes, and we've had some fantastic Halloween photo shoots in past years.  We'll do it again, with costumes encouraged (but not required), and everyone is welcome to bring themed props to inspire!

The long-running Introduction to Studio Photo Shooting class continues, offered on the basis of individually scheduled private and semi-private sessions for the remainder of 2012.  Class is 2 hours for a single individual, or 3 hours for 2-4 people, $60/person either way, with scheduling confirmed by completion of payment at least 48 hours in advance.  Day, evening, and weekend times available.
